Former Anime Competitors Join Forces At Westlake

Westlake Entertainment Inc., the independent home entertainment distribution company, announced today the addition of Craig
O’Connor, formerly of ADV Films, as National Sales Manager. This strategic placement is a key component in Westlake’s aggressive repositioning in the marketplace to release first-run features, including theatrical, new title and anime genre product. O’Connor’s position with Westlake begins immediately.

Westlake Vice-President of Sales and Marketing, Tony Vandeveerdonk expressed his enthusiasm for working with his long-time colleague. “Craig will be a huge asset to the Westlake Entertainment team,” states Vandeveerdonk. “His strong track record in the home video industry including his expertise inthe anime category is unmatched.”

O’Connor says, “I’m delighted to work on the same side of the table with Mr. Vandeveerdonk. He was always a tough competitor and this is a terrific opportunity to work together to build Westlake’s new brands. I’m also excited about their new film initiatives, along with the strong new anime they have lined up for 2007.”

Vandeveerdonk and O’Connor were two driving forces behind the explosive growth of anime from a small niche category on the late 1990 s to the over $500 million business it is today. With a combination of over 30 years experience in home video sales, their partnership will play a significant and positive role in Westlake Entertainment s future success.
