Synopsis
In the distant future… On a desert planet… There is a legendary gunman. His name is… Vash the Stampede. A gunslinger so dangerous, a $$60,000,000,000 reward has been placed on his head! Vash, also known as the Humanoid Typhoon, has been credited with the destruction of several towns, but miraculously, there is no record of him ever taking a life. However, only two things ever happen to those who catch up to Vash, they either crawl away wounded (mostly from self-inflicted damage), or they stagger away in disbelief that such a dork could possibly be the man they are looking for!

The Breakdown
Trigun is an 8 DVD series, which is very costly, if you plan on buying this series do so on www.dvdplanet.com or www.dvdpricesearch.com, find a good place to order from. My recommendation goes to DVDPlanet though.

» The Pros

Indeed Trigun is very weird, and funny in a sense. Vash is one of the first humans to land on the planet along with his brother Knives. Trigun mixes seriousness with non-seriousness, just like Vash's personality. He sometimes looks friendly, but when there is a challenge ahead his faces changes, as if he was like Himura Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X). Kenshin to Hitokiri Battousai, something like that. The plot is based on Vash just a wanderer, looking for his brother Knives to avenge for his first love Rem Saverem. She taught both Vash and Knives the reason of life, but Knives, couldn't take the abuse that a crewmember gave him and then he finally developed his evil 'mental' state of mind. Anyways, back to Vash, no one actually know him, the towns people only heard rumors (we all know how rumors can hurt a person's image) and once Vash steps in to town, and people realizes that that dork is Vash, the town is probably gone or something bad happened. Trigun is one of the coolest series I've seen, truly recommended to all fans.

» The Cons

Vash is like another version of Himura Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X), therefore making Vash unoriginal. They both have kind of the same personalities. The only difference is that one carries a gun and the other a sakaba-tou (reverse blade sword). The similarities are, the no killing policy, the serious killing look, and more that I can't name off top of my head.

» Animation

9	Trigun might not have any 3D in it, but hey, as I've said in the Blood: The Last Vampire review, Anime isn't based all in the animation.

» Sound

10	Gun blasts, guitar opening theme, and wacky voices for wacky characters such as Vash the Stampede.

» Story

8.5	There are stops to the story development at times, but the story is entertaining, as DVD 3 and on kicks in.

» Recommend

Trigun is cool, funny and entertaining, I've recommended Trigun to a lot of friends already, and one of them actually bought this complete DVD box set and lent it to me so I can review it!! His thoughts were that Trigun wasn't good for the first few episodes, and the ending wasn't enough. IMO who likes a wonderful series to end?

Package: The Complete DVD Box Set, nice box, all the characters are in SD (super deformed) type form; very cute. The box also has a halo-foil shine. (almost chromium like).
