Synopsis
WARNING!!! THE SUBJECT MATTER…Just Kidding. A resturant by the beach of Misaki. Gorgeous female workers ready to take your order. What could be better! (I guess a hentai but that is not what this is.) The fourth Pia Carrot resturant is about to open its doors. But first it’ll require some extra help from Sayaka and Tomomi, waitresses from the original and second resturant. However, is there another reason why the both of them fled to the new resturant?
Review
Sayaka is a new character in the Dreamcast/Playstation 2 Pia Carrot e Youkoso!! 3 game released in 2003. The PC game came out two years earlier in 2001. Sakuya came from the first resturant probably hired by Yusuke’s father. She was not in the first game/hentai series and must have joined after Yusuke finished working there and went on to become the manager of the second resturant.
Tomomi’s story comes from Pia Carrot 2. She is a junior high school student. Her best friends, Shima Noriko and Kamizuka Yuki, who also appear in the movie, talk about how cool the Pia Carrot uniforms are. Because of her age, Tomomi can’t work at Pia Carrot. As Koji, you are able to date Tomomi. Eventually she does wait tables at the second Pia Carrot resturant. She then moves to the fourth resturant once she found out that Koji already likes Asuza. The three girls are characters in Pia Carrot e Youkoso!! 2 and 2.5 as you can see at the bottom character page of http://www.interchannel.co.jp/game/pia2.5/pro/index.html.
Compare the pictures of Noriko, Yuki, and Tomomi from Pia Carrot 2 to Pia Carrot 3. http://www.interchannel.co.jp/game/pia3/index.html. I’m surprised they don’t have a picture of Miyuki in Pia Carrot 3. Maybe she is a character exclusive to the movie or a minor character in game 3. There is some beautiful artwork for the movie. I’ve included some wallpapers for your delight. If you want more, you can purchase figurines on eBay.
The Breakdown
Not really a dating simulation as the other Pia Carrot series were. Not really a love story either. More like love sickness.
» The Pros
Is the movie really a sequel to Pia Carrot 2 DX? It is as much of a sequel as Pia Carrot 2 was to Pia Carrot 1. Aizawa Tomomi and her friends were characters in the second e Youkoso!! game but were not present in DX or the hentai. Takako was engaged to marry but suddenly her husband-to-be ran away with someone else. Their reception was supposed to take place at the second Pia Carrot resturant. This event was referenced in DX when news of the reception was canceled and the Cosplay Contest was held at Pia Carrot instead. There are short guest appearances by Asuza and Koji at the fourth resturant.

» The Cons
The comedy element present in the previous Pia Carrot animes is missing. This might be due to the short length of the movie, a little less than an hour, and the lack of a male lead. The focus instead was on Sayaka's and Tomomi's troubles. In the game you are able to date them in addition to the rest of the girls. Even the adult and cool headed Natsuki. The movie breaks tradition in not ending with Sayaka saying the words Welcome to Pia Carrot!

There is a total of ten girls in the movie. During the beauty pageant for fanservice they display the birthday, blood type, height, and measurements of six of the girls. There is a scene where Miyuki kicks a guy in the face like Chun-Li spilling some blood making this PG-13. There's also the customary hot spring scene. It's ironic how the utensils are forks and knives instead of chopsticks. Maybe it depends on the dish. |

Nana's voice bothers me for some reason. Hisayo Mochizuki (Es Otherwise - Hikaru) is just too high pitched and too cute. All the others are perfect. Michiko Neya (Chrono Crusade - Satella, Initial D - Mako) as Natsuki. Yumi Kakazu (Initial D - Saiyuki, Vandread - Dita) as Sayaka Takai. There are three songs, one at the beginning, end, and in the middle for the beauty pageant. |

The story has the same theme as Midori no Hibi. You don't want to die with regret doing nothing and not having conveyed your true feelings. Otherwise it will burn inside your soul. Confess your feelings even if it means rejection (Tomomi). You might find that the person you love feels the same way (Sayaka). Watch the movie through the credits. |
